Newbie here

Hello, got my 2019 GLA 200 Prem Plus in Feb 2020, with 14000 miles on clock. Traded in Jan 2014 C220 AMG Line at my local MB dealer (this is 3rd car from them). Bought GLA to ease the ďold bonesĒ, my wife and I are now retired and getting In/Out of C Class was getting more difficult, GLA is much better. I have done most driving since buying, as my wife is self isolating due to bronchitis, at the moment.
I joined forum for info regarding towbar and electrics, have sent for towbar (fitting by myself), researching electrics at present (13 pin dedicated wiring) and will then have it all coded at local indie MB specialist.

Welcome, itís not the wildest living forum but it can be handy.

Iíve used a specialist tow bar shop on my two previous cars. Ď06 C180K Estate, then latterly an Ď11 Audi A4 2.0 S-Line TFSI Quattro Estate (yes a car with the longest model designation in the world). Both were about six years old at time of fitment.

You say you intend to undertake the work yourself? Just an alternative viewpoint if I may. Auto Trader tells me you would have paid in the region of £25K for it and have a good dealer warranty. If external fitment isnít undertaken by an approved Mercedes dealership then that warranty Iím sure counts for nothing. Can I suggest before you get the work done you check with the dealer and for supply and fitment costs. You may have done this already and I apologise if you have.

A 2019 model is one to keep under the dealer warranty, at least until the manufacturers one expires. Iím sure everyone will be intrigued to know how you get on.
